Northwoods Gravel Grind: Short Course

Ride Description

2017 event takes place September 23. FMI: http://northwoodsgravelgrind.weebly.com/

The Northwoods Gravel Grind started as a fundraiser to help an organization that was close to our hearts and needed a "boost". The race is evolving and we are branching out. In our 4th year we are excited to shift things up a little as we go forward. The NWGG will now choose a Franklin County non-profit, group, or project that is in need of some funds to help it with it's goals. Our focus will be outdoor recreation and projects that enable people of all ages to get outside in healthy ways. We wish to reduce barriers for people and make it easier for people to experience the treasure that is Franklin County.

In 2017 we have chosen the Rangeley Lakes Trail Center. This multi-use trail center serves nordic skiers, snowshowers, and fat bikers in winter. It is our hope that the money raised fro the NWGG will enable the trail center to put energy into developing a larger summer trail system for mountain bikes. The NWGG is excited to help this trail project grow and to give this evolving community more trails to enjoy.
